J. Period, John Legend & The Roots present: Wake Up! Radio

"Epic remix compilation features John Legend, The Roots, Rakim, Common, Nneka, Q-Tip, Pete Rock & CL Smooth & More!"

Download HERE

"Hosted by The Roots’ own Black Thought, WAKE UP! RADIO pays tribute to the legacy of soul music that paved the way for WAKE UP! and imagines a world where mainstream radio transmits music with a message. Employing an all-star cast of musical contemporaries (including John Legend & The Roots themselves), J.Period dissects, remixes and rebuilds the original recording sessions from the WAKE UP! album in an unprecedented manner, defying the conventional wisdom of what a “mixtape” can be—producing a full-fledged remix album in the process. The result is a treasure trove of powerful new music, produced and remixed exclusively by J.Period for WAKE UP! RADIO."

[LIVE] A Tribe Called Quest 2010 - Sydney

After one of the biggest highs for me this year at Rap City, things just got a million times better at the announcement of A Tribe Called Quest's first EVER Australian tour. There was no way I was missing this one and I booked another trip to Sydney. Boy was it worth it!!!!! To see the whole group on stage, Jarobi included, over 20 years after it all began was an absolute experience, and as the photos in these videos show, one I will never forget.

Once again I hope you enjoy the footage I collected at the show as much as I LOVED being there =D

WHERE ARE YOU???

Ok so admittedly it's been a while... I know I know I'm the worst blogger ever!! But this is about me sharing the music that I love as opposed to taking over the blogosphere, so think of it as a delicacy? Ok so maybe not so much. Stick with me though, I've been busy collecting amazing moments of music greatness!! Since I last checked in I have visited the shores of Sydney on two separate music missions... what were they you ask? OH don't you worry you are about to find out in following posts, but here's a sneak peak.

I just wanted to stop in and say, to anyone who actually visits this blog and appreciates what I post, appearances may be rare sometimes but thanks for sticking with me :) oh and read the next few posts about my adventures YAY!
